Research Institute of Agricultural and Rural Planning (RIARP) is a scientific and technology organization under the Viet Nam’s Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), is established in accordance with the Decision No70/QĐ-LHHVN by the VUSTA’s Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee, on the day of 23rd January 2013. IRRAP has  a legal status with stamp, bank A/C and operates under an independence account.

RIARP’s scientific resources are mainly contributed by the research agencies and universities such as the National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection (NIAPP), Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute, Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and rurar development, Hanoi university of agriculture. Viet Nam’s Academy of Social Sciences and Thai Nguyen University.

RIARP consists of a team of dedicated researchers and scientists those have ever been engaged the rural and agriculture development, used to be in high positions of management and leadership in the State’s agencies, programs and projects. Notably, such programs and projects are very much related to master plans of agriculture and rural development, land use planning, land use classification and mapping, and land evaluation and polluation, rural contamination, etc

Most of them are being involved the training and teaching in universities in the subjects of land management and planning, pedology, environment, planning, agro-economy, etc. RIARP enables to conduct research themes and projects which relate to agricultural and rural developmnent planning at different levels, ranging from the regional to national level.
